Ok, so today is the last day of January.. Can't believe the first month of the new year has come and gone.. WoW!! So here is a picture from my bedroom window sitting at my desk looking out towards Jobs Peak. We have not had as many snow day's here in Minden this year, but as you can see, we still have a beautiful view of the snow capped mountains..

It has been soooo long since my last post.... We have moved from So Cal. to Northern Nevada... I am sooooo loving it here. I have a beautiful view of the Sierra's from my bedroom window. It is so gorgeous here. It has been so long that I wasn't sure if I would even have a blog left....(LOL!) Now that we are settled into our new life here I can get back into scrappin!!!! YEAH!!! I am going to try and be a better blogger. I have a few things I would like to do with it, but am still working on them..... More to come!!!

Belated Happy Mother's Day!!!!

So how was your Mother's Day??? Mine was pretty awesome.... Went to a mother/daughter breakfast with my MIL & SIL on Sunday, it was very nice, had pancakes with strawberries and ham and eggs... Yummy!!! Came home after to a sparkling clean kitchen that my ds had cleaned so beautifully. Dh & ds went out and got me my fav bagels and a Latte from Starbucks and the Sunday paper... DD came over and brought me a bag of my fav Espresso coffee from Starbucks... YaY!!! it was an awesome day.... The only thing that would have made it better, would to have been able to see my Mom... I really miss her alot. She lives in Rocklin, Ca. which is near Sacramento and I live here in Corona, So. Cal. I am hoping to get to see her this summer, God and finances willing. Hope all you Mom's out there had an AWESOME day....

I have not blogged in quite a while, shame on me... I have had a few ugly's in my life lately... My dd was in a bad car accident, though not severly injured, she is pretty banged up and her car was totaled. (sp?) Trying to help her get things together for seeing an attorney.

Anyhow, I had been keeping up with the challenges at E.B.B. Creations, until this month... I have fallen behind.. I will start new with May.

I have been dabbling in paper crafts & scrap booking for the better part of 10 years now. I have now come to the realization after looking through my scrapbooks, that I have been more of a collector of rather than an active participant in my scrap booking... I love to get all the new products that come out, and I admit to being a paper addict. I just love the colors and the smell of a new sheet of paper.. LOL!!! I am sure some of you can relate...
I have been active on a several scrap sites over the years, I've been a Pea and a Scrapjazzer. I have participated and hosted several swaps. I was on a design team about 3 years ago for Embellishment by Ellie (Then renamed Daisy Scraps, then Ellie eventually closed her business)... As for scrapping for my family, not so much.... I still have tons of pictures of my kids when they were babies and beyond. My oldest is now 23y and my baby is 15y... Sooooo, it is time for me to Scrap or get of the pot (so to speak).
To get myself kicked into high gear, I am currently (since the first of the year) trying to complete the monthly challenges on the 2 sites that I am active on. My ultimate goal for this year is to get published or get onto a design team again. This blog will be a record of my journey. Kind of like an accountability thing... Wish me luck.....

My First Post

Here's my first post. I am currently involved in two online communities. First is a site that has so many talented people and is owned by no other than a gentleman named Enrique. Everyone calls him "E". The name of the site is E.B.B. Creations, the link is to the right.. Check out his site, there is an online store, forums, and an awesome gallery.

Second is a card & mini album club called Self-Addressed, great site for inspiration on making cards.. They have a great monthly kit club, forums, gallery and a great bunch of talented gals.. Give them a look see. The site is owned by Jennifer and she is great.

You will find me most days on either one of these sites... I am really trying to keep up on the challenges that both sites do each month. Come visit and see what you think... I will be posting my projects for these challenges here...
